Obanzai Nagomi in Kyoto

This is located beside a popular bar. Visited at 9.30pm with my husband. We were the only customers on a rainy night. Really warm and welcoming service. Food was excellent and fresh. We had the 6-dish chef’s menu. We loved every single dish. The fish / sashimi were firm and springy. Really loved the food there- highly recommended!

It was opened yesterday with the old lady "Nagomi". Atmosphere is good and calms down. We had auntizai, a sword fish nigiri, a taro yuba ankake, chicken and simmered nappa, all of which were very delicious.

Worst place I’ve ever been too. The owner is condescending and inconsiderate. I cannot say much about the food, because we were thrown out before we got our food. We were very polite the whole time. The only thing we asked was whether it was possible to make some accommodations. We only had a chance to have a sip of our drinks before we were asked to leave and were asked to pay for the drinks before we were allowed to leave. Would not recommend anyone to visit, unless maybe if you are a local.

It's my first time ever to leave a review on google map. This is very nice restaurant with reasonable price and friendly staff. Must visit place! Be sure to order obanzai.

A Kyoto-like shop in Kiyamachi. Although it is an area lined with luxury stores, it is a conscientious price as long as you see the menu on the table. English menu available.When you take off your shoes at the entrance, you will find a counter and a digger seat. Even foreigners who are not good at cross-legged are safe to dig.The counter is lined with bansai on a large plate, and a shop in Kyoto that was expected.The interior decoration is simple and the atmosphere is good.Auntai is assorted and feels good little by little. All the dishes were affordable according to the menu.The only disappointment is that smoking is allowed in the store. If you quit smoking, there will be fewer regulars. I can't help it, but I'm sorry for those who don't smoke.Other than that, the store was very friendly and my friends were enjoying Kyoto for the first time!

I was satisfied because I wanted to go to an izakaya with stew on the platter on the counter.The taste was also refined and it was shitty.The sashimi is delicious.Moreover, I was very satisfied with the price.I want to drop in again when I go nearby.At the shop, take off all the shoes at both the counter and the table, and just as the name implies, you can relax.

The owner of the shop had changed when I went there after a long time. But it was better than before so I want to go again♪

Nice place, but smoking is allowed here. Therefore, if you do not like the smell of cigarettes - it is better to find another place. Took sushi - prices are a little expensive, but sushi is tasty

Great place to have dinner. English menu, they speak English. Delicious food! Have horikotatse, so easy to sit down for foreigners.

Entered this restaurant pretty randomly and ordered the chefs set. Overall quite good experience except the AC is a bit too strong.

All the dishes are delicious.

I was allowed to stop by on a trip. The people in the shop had a good feeling and the food was delicious. Especially the Kujo green onion potato salad was smooth and very delicious.

A tavern that happened to come to Kyoto to eat.Very delicious and reasonable!Even though I'm not a sushi restaurant, the grip is surprisingly delicious.Tempura is also recommended.It is one of the shops that I definitely want to visit again.

This płace had great food, lovely staff and a perfect local feel! It left me and my wife with one of the best experiences of our honeymoon! The atmosphere is just lovely, it was the right spot we hit to meet some very very very nice locals (who even knew some of our soccer stars!;)) and there was a good selection of delicious sake. I cherish my memory of this place since that day and should I ever get back to Kyoto - this will be the number one place to get back to!!! 6/5 stars!

I was here with my pregnant wife, and only politely asked if one of the patrons would smoke outside. Then the staff harrassed us to leave, before we even got our food and made us pay.

Walked in off the street after other dinner plans fell through. Did an omakase style dinner and was not disappointed. Delicious meal, get the fried tofu!

I would like to try Obanzai and enter the store. Even though I didn't have a reservation, I welcomed me warmly. It is a homey atmosphere with the counter and the parlor.

Good quality

Fabulous dining experience. Small and traditional place where you can taste many different dishes in small portions. All the dishes were delicious and very elegant. The team were very nice. We ended up paying a very reasonable 4,000 yen per person. Great place if you want to taste the authentic Kyoto cuisine and taste and share different flavors. Can't recommend it enough!

"Obanzai" is a luxury

It's delicious but it's cheap.Waiting on customers is also good.

It is easy to use from Shijo Kawaramachi soon. Although not wide, in the bright and clean store, the service of the employee is also bright and kind. There are many types of dishes, and things that are like Kyoto are also prepared. The counter is digging and wind and it is warm and comfortable even in winter as it is heated.

Composes of many classic Kyoto Obansai and family dishes. Lots of variety of alcohol to pair with the meal. Quiet and relaxing environment.

Everything was excellent. Warm welcome on arrival. Fried tofu in dashi very tasty. Fried chicken delicious. Kobe beef tenderloin and succulent. Mixed nigiri perfect. Sake oishi.

It's a beautiful izakaya, and it's a good atmosphere to serve as a couple.The dishes are very delicious and each one is entertaining! Beef line and raw bean were especially good.I came on a trip and was very satisfied.

Fantastic food and excellent service. Discovered it completely by accident, but it was well worth visiting. The scallops and Camembert dishes were outstanding. Highly recommended.
